Why the Glory

We know the glory is manifestations of God’s presence, His goodness, and power. So why does God want to pour out His glory at certain times? Since the fall of man God has searched for a people who would believe Him without requiring any physical evidence. These people could be trusted with manifestations of His goodness because they didn’t need them in order to believe. Something happened to that region where the Holy Ghost came upon men for the first time. God used the believers to demonstrate His glory to the unbelieving.

Acts 5:14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes of men and women.

Glorious signs and wonders were wrought by the Apostles so the world would know Jesus was Messiah. These supernatural events are not a substitute for faith, they must come to the “faith”. The signs of God’s love and mercy towards men abounds every where. But unlearned fellows can’t recognize His works because they know not the man. A person would have to choose to be ignorant in order to fail to see the hand of God. The Jewish leaders saw undeniable miracles by Jesus, but they would not acknowledge them.

Matthew 12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, this fellow does not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub, the prince of the devils.

The Pharisees were more in touch with the devil than   Jesus.  They gave the devil more credit than Messiah. Every miracle and supernatural event can be explained away by men who refuse to believe! How many times have people been diagnosed with cancer and they began to believe God for their healing? When they go back to the doctor, he says, “The cancer is in remission.” Some folks will not believe no matter what God does. People in their right mind will know something beyond human reason is happening right before them. God’s glory is the portion that belongs to the sanctified church, to the believers it is God’s calling card.

Ephesians 5:27 That Jesus may present to Himself  a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Jesus will not present His body to Himself until it has been cleaned up. He will not have a body that is enveloped in strife, divisions, unforgiveness and offenses. What would the heathen think about a bunch of Christians who can’t stand one another? A bunch of hooligan church people and God does miracles among them? When Christians walk in love, it is a demonstration of God’s presence. The Bible kind of love can’t manifest without God, so love is an indication of God’s presence.

Jesus will present to Himself and the world a body of believers who will put His glory on display. The world has never known such love and power that God will show them. Judgment must first begin in the house of God, otherwise His house will be full of hypocrites. When the heathen see the glory, then they will be ready for judgment, they will either surrender to Jesus or reject Him forever. The glory is a manifestation of God’s love for all men. Some will pervert it and some will accept it. Time for His glory.

    OFFERING DECLARATION
I know the will of my Lord,
He takes pleasure in my prosperity.
He died to make me rich,
He became the curse for me.
If I yield to poverty and lack,
    I will disappoint my Lord.
Now I got my mind right,
    I am ready to prosper,
    spirit, soul and body.
