What Peace?

Recently, I was praying and the Lord gave me two Scriptures. I found the Scriptures He gave me and at first, I was a little confused. But I knew the Lord wanted to teach me something.

Luke 2:14 Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.
Luke 12:51 Do you suppose I come to give peace on earth? I tell you, no, but rather division.

My first thought was I found some contradictory Scriptures, but I knew better than to believe that. So I continued to pray and to let the Holy Ghost teach me the truth. When Heaven announced there would be peace on earth at the birth of Jesus, this peace would be between God and man. Man had no peace with God since the day Adam sinned. Peace between God and man would be restored at the birth of Christ.
After Jesus was anointed with the Holy Ghost He began to preach the Gospel His Heavenly Father gave Him. The Gospel of Christ was divisive because He was divisive. Very few would believe Jesus was Messiah, if He was the Christ then everything He said was true. Those few who did believe were divided from those who believed not. The division Jesus referred to was between believers and non-believers. When men disagree with one another there can be no peace between them.

1 John 5:10 He that does not believe God has made Him a liar.

Men who refuse to believe God and His Word are calling God a liar! This is not the unforgivable sin, but such as these are in danger of judgment. Calling God a liar will not gain you a place in Heaven and it will not invite the favor of God into your life.

John 14:11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me: or else believe Me for the very miracles I work.

A man has to have a pretty hard heart in order to deny a visible proven miracle. Jesus worked many miracles, but people refused to believe His identity. Not even God Himself can change a hard heart unless the man’s willing. Those who believe have peace with God those who don’t believe have no such peace.

Romans 12:18 Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.

It is very difficult to live in peace with men who do not have peace with God. We must do our best, but it is not possible. Would ISIS stop trying to kill us if we leave them alone? NO! You may be the nicest person in the world, but someone hates you! They will hate you until they have peace with God.

I don’t give donations, rather I sow seed and I will reap a harvest, so help me God.
