Most churches have some knowledge of the Apostle Paul. Some have even named their churches after him. Paul is considered an honorable man because the Lord used him to write two-thirds of the New Testament. I wonder sometimes how Paul would be welcomed in some of these churches. Paul loved the Lord and he loved the churches, but he would never compromise the truth for anyone.
1 Corinthians 5:1 It is common knowledge that there is fornication in the church, the gentiles don’t even practice such a sin. You allow a man to live with his step-mother.
Paul spoke to the church leaders not to the sinner. The sinner was their responsibility. The church at Corinth became a “seeker sensitive” church. Their doors and their minds were always open. They didn’t want to offend the “sinner” so their focus was getting him to church. Paul was angry over the promiscuity of the people. They were dishonoring the Blood of Jesus. God did not give us His grace so we could continue in our sins. He died to give us His grace, to blot out our sins and make us more like Him. The church at Corinth didn’t think it was a big deal for a man to lie with his step-mother!
1 Corinthians 6:9 Do not be deceived, the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God, no fornicators, adulterers nor homosexuals.
Despite Paul’s warnings, the modern churches have chosen to ignore this part of his teachings. A good number of churches and entire denominations have welcomed all these fornicators into their congregations. They don’t call out their sin like Paul did. They don’t try to convert these sinners to Christ. Under the guise of love, they welcome all people and their sins. Do they not know why Jesus died on the cross? If they perceive sin as no big deal, why was Jesus suffering so terribly on that cross?
1 Timothy 5:22 Keep yourself pure, do not be a partaker of other men’s sins.
Many “Christians” will never commit the sin of fornication, but they will be judged for it! They stood in agreement with those who did commit the sin. They have become partakers of the sins of the people. They enabled them by not telling them the truth in love. I don’t believe Paul would be very popular in some churches. If Paul came to my church and corrected some things I was doing wrong, I would thank God for sending him. I don’t want to stand before God and be admonished for teaching opposition to the Word.
Galatians 4:16 Have I now become your enemy because I tell you the truth?
I wonder how many churches don’t agree with Paul’s doctrine? Some would say his teachings were his own and not God’s! Well then, they should never have been recorded. Paul loved Jesus. He loved the Word and he loved the churches. He wanted the best for us and only the truth can provide that. The teachings of Paul are welcome in my church, because we love the truth.
I gave God His tithe
and He has opened Heaven over me.
Now I sow the seed He gives me, the devil cannot eat my seed.
The curse cannot stop my harvest and God will never forget my seed.
I am truly blessed like Abraham and I give God all the glory.
