the mind of satan

Solomon said there is nothing new under the sun, Kenneth Copeland says none of us ever had an original thought. But we have the mind(thoughts) of Christ and all of us have had the mind(thoughts) of the devil. The Lord shares His thoughts with us and that reveals His nature of love and peace. When the devil shares his thoughts, they are temptations he hopes will lead us to oppose God.

James 1:14 Every man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lusts and enticed(beguiled).

Now we do have a choice of what thoughts we will entertain, we can dwell on the thoughts of God or the thoughts of the devil. When I was a kid and estranged from God my mind was full of thoughts of the devil. I had no idea I was an agent of the evil one. I went to church a lot but sin was the order of the day. Going to church was a waste of my time and God's. I could sin going in, sin in the church and sin going out. I knew what I was doing was wrong but the pastor assured us that we are all sinners so that was our excuse. I knew right from wrong but I didn't have the strength to resist any temptation. My friends and I would brag who was the best sinner, we laughed at our stupidity. I really thought that sin was okay and there was nothing I could do about it. I really hoped I could make purgatory for awhile.

John 8:32 You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:44 You are of your father the devil and the lusts of your father you will do.

By a miracle and the grace of God I was born-again and I was told that the truth I knew would make me free. It took awhile, but I finally got the revelation. The truth that I accepted would make me free of my weakness to revisit sin. What is truth? Jesus said: "I am the way and the truth." The truth I needed was Jesus. When I got to know Him, He would make me free. We get close to Jesus by believing His Word. Jesus is the truth and so His Word is truth. As I drew closer to Jesus by believing Him, I realized we both had the same Father. I was doing the lusts of my father the devil, now I am doing the love of my Heavenly Father. I am now free. I can choose between right and wrong and I have the power to do that which is pleasing to Him.

Mathew 4:3 And when the tempter came to Him, he said, If you are the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

No one is exempt from the tempter, but not all of us have to be taken by his temptations. Men do not always have the power to say no, but God gives whosoever wants the power to resist every attempt. We not only have the mind of Christ, but we also have His redemptive power to just say "no". The devil is not a quitter, in fact the redeemed are his number one target. He loves to rustle away God's sheep. Let me remind you of something, an innocent lamb defeated a vicious, deadly serpent. To the devil we are just mere sheep but to God we are more than conquerors and no one can separate us from the love of God. Some temptations will make you feel dirty and weak and that's what he intends, but if you don't act on them they are not sin.

Mathew 5:28 Whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her in his heart.

Is this a sin or a temptation? If you would act on the temptation if possible, it is a sin. But if you would never commit the act of adultery, then it is a temptation and not a sin.

    OFFERING DECLARATION
We are in dangerous times, the world is void of truth.
The innocent are hated, and all liars are honored.
But I choose the truth, and I give God His tithe.
In a world full of chaos, I will always be blessed.
For I am one of His sheep.
