reviving the spirit

God is the Father of all spirits and every spirit He creates will live forever, you cannot cause a spirit to cease to exist.  This is the reason the devil is still with us today, he is a spirit in search of a body.  The Bible teaches us that man is a spirit, he possesses a soul which is his mind, will and emotions and he lives in a body or an earth suit.  All men live forever whether they be alive in their spirit or if they are spiritually dead.  A person who is spiritually dead is like their father Adam after he sinned, they have no connection to God, they are connected to the devil.

1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made a live.

All men are born into this world spiritually dead, we must choose to have the life Christ died to give us.  According to the law of Genesis every seed produces after its own kind.  Consequently Adam passed his spiritual death upon all his descendants, I submit to you that this was a blessing in disguise.

Romans 5:18 Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone.

According to the law of Genesis all mankind was guilty of Adam’s sin and all mankind can be guilty of Christ’s righteousness!  No one had a choice when it came to Adam’s sin but all men have a choice when it comes to the righteousness of Christ.  After a man receives Jesus he can then sow to the Spirit and not just the flesh, the Bible calls sowing to the Spirit: well doing.

Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary (faint, weak) in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Permit me to offer you a parable: when you work hard on your job or around your house you grow physically weary.  You need to take some time to rest, time to revive your tired body, but what about your spirit.  We can become weary in well doing, sowing from our spirit and awaiting the results.  So, what do we need?  Revival!

2 Corinthians 2:13 I had no rest in my spirit because I could not find my brother Titus.

When Paul found Titus he was relieved, he found exactly what he needed.  The spirit of man never sleeps but it can grow weary in well doing and with disappointment.  How does God revive the spirits of men?  He reiterates what He has spoken from the beginning, He speaks exactly what we need to hear.

Isaiah 28:12 And God said, this is the rest where with you may cause the weary to rest, and this is the refreshing: but they would not hear.

God cannot revive the weary soul against their will, we must be willing to hear, believe and receive.  Brother Joe is a revivalist anointed of God to bring us back to the refreshing, a time to hear and receive.

OFFERING DECLARATIONJust like the women who helped Jesus, I too can be like them.
God will receive my offerings and use them to build His church.
What He did for them, He will do more for me.
I don’t give donations, rather I sow seed and I will reap a harvest, so help me God.
