Prepare for Rough Water

We have stepped into what many believe to be the last great outpouring of the supernatural. Miracles of healings are becoming more and more frequent. More of the uncompromising believers are experiencing the favor of God. Revelation is being poured out faster than we can preach it. This is truly a great time to be alive and saved by the blood of    Jesus. Now, do you think for one minute, that the devil is just going to step aside and let us bask in God’s glory? I trow not.
After the resurrection of Christ, the Apostles and Paul began to write the Bible we have today. If you read all the Epistles, you will see the Word of God. You will also see the problems the Apostles had trying to get the people to hear. The devil was constantly trying to get between the Word and the hearers of the Word. Two thousand years have come and gone, but the devil has not changed even one of his tactics. You would think that we would have learned by now who the enemy is, but most have not yet figured it out.

Galatians 1:6 I marvel that you are so soon removed from Him that call you into the grace of Christ unto another Gospel.

Paul established the church at Galatia. He got all those people saved and full of the Holy Spirit. But the devil sent some men to his church to unravel what the Lord gave Paul for that church. Paul was amazed at how quickly they discarded the Gospel and embraced something that was not from God. He told them that the men who imparted the false doctrine were accursed and so was their gospel.

Galatians 5:7 In the beginning you did run well; who hindered you and drove you back, that now you should not obey the truth.

Paul puts an important question to them, do you know anything about these men who led you away from the Lord? Did you take the time to discern the hearts of these men? Did you observe their fruit? Did you find out where they came from and what their doctrine was? Paul was very upset. He called the people of his church fools! A fool is a person who does not learn from their mistakes, nor the mistakes of others.

1 Corinthians 10:11 All these things happened to God’s people as examples for others and they were written down as a warning for us. For we live at a time when the end is about to come.

The devil has a catalogue of false teachings that he continually offers to all Christians. Once, one of his doctrines is embraced, the steadfast believers have to weed it out of the Body. By the time it is exposed and dealt with, he unleashes another one of his false doctrines. And then the cycle begins again and many Christians are recycled with the same trash. Rough waters have always been with us, but if God’s Word is your mainstay, you just float right over them. I don’t want to see any more good Christians get carried away by the rough water. Please make a quality decision today that you will let nothing come between you and the uncompromised Word of God. Time is too short for not being a wise servant.
