our covenant

Sunday night on October fifteenth, the men of this church came together and made covenant with our Lord.  The men represented every person in this church and even those who join themselves to us in the days to come.  Based on God’s Word there is no good reason for anyone to be sick this winter.  Consider this covenant your flu shot that covers every illness the enemy sows in the world this winter.

Proverbs 4:22 My Words are life unto those that receive them, and medicine to all your flesh.

The conventional wisdom is to take medicine after you take a sickness.  But the Bible way is to take medicine to ward off sickness.  I don’t expect to get sick so I don’t prepare for it, I fully expect to be healthy all winter long.  The devil has no place in my health plan, the devil was disqualified when Jesus rose from the dead.

Psalm 91:10 There shall no evil befall you, no evil plague will come near you.

The flu, shingles, pneumonia, strep, cancer and colds are all plagues we have been delivered of.  Now we know this and God knows this and the devil needs to know that we know.  The devil must be constantly reminded that he has been defeated and has no place in our life.  You are on the devil’s short list on account of your association with the Lord Jesus.  Greater is He that is in you than he who is in the world.  The devil keeps coming back on us because he doesn’t know if we have continued on with Christ.  The devil’s greatest prize is a Christian who “tried” Christ for a “season”, he loves to devour these double minded snacks.

Psalm 91:15-16 I will be with you in trouble: I will deliver you and honor you with long life will I satisfy you, and show you My salvation.

Psalm ninety-one was written to all those who believe the Word of God and who have made Jesus the Lord of their life.  Unfortunately, not all Christians are covered under Psalm ninety-one, they lack dedication and commitment.  We are not of those who lightly regard our Lord and Savior, we are those who have put all our faith in Him and His Word.  We expect Him to give us long life, not a life that is shortened on account of sickness or disease.  It pleases our Lord when we believe His Word and we put a demand on it.  This is not arrogance this is faith and without faith we cannot please Him.

Isaiah 53:4-5 Surely He has carried our sickness and disease and with His stripes we are healed.

Every sickness the devil has conjured up was put on the Body of our Lord and Savior Jesus.  Why should we carry something that Jesus carried for us?  We need to know these things because this knowledge is what repels the devil.  The Word of God is a two-edged sword and when we speak what we believe, the devil gets the point.  Our covenant says we are healed and redeemed.
