John 14:16 I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever.

When Jesus began His earthly ministry, He became a voice of comfort for all who would listen to Him.  The people were spiritually dead, they had no revelation concerning God’s will for them.  They could not understand Jesus because He thought differently and did not share their fears.  At times Jesus became frustrated with them because they could not comprehend what He taught them.  One of the last things He spoke to them before He left was that He would send them another Comforter to take His place.  We cannot understand nor accomplish God’s will without a spiritual Comforter.

John 16:13 When He, the Holy Spirit of truth is come, He will lead you into all truth: for He will not speak of Himself; but whatever He shall hear, that shall He speak.

The Holy Spirit will say the same things that Jesus said, the difference is He will be speaking to folks who are no longer spiritually dead.  Who is the Holy Spirit speaking to?  He is speaking to whosoever has ears to hear, in other words, to people who believe God is speaking to His people.  God is speaking to you, if you believe you will hear Him, if you don’t believe you will hear nothing.  We have an invitation, a right to hear God’s voice, so we must press into this promise with a determination.  Once I knew it was God’s will that I hear Him, I would not quit until I heard His voice.

Luke 11:9 Ask, and keep on asking and it will be given you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find, knock and keep on knocking and it will be opened to you.

God’s voice was never intended to be a one time and done experience, He will speak to us every day.  God is so miraculous He can communicate with us by His inward witness.  We can interpret His thoughts and feelings, He can respond to our questions before we ask.  As a baby Christian, I learned that our Lord would answer all of my questions and that caused me to grow much more quickly.  Confidence comes from knowing who you are, what you are to do, and how you are to do it.  Every time I hear His voice I feel comforted and peaceful.  This is a whole lot better than moping around all day.

Luke 12:11-12 When the religious fools bring you before the authorities and powers, take no thought what you will say.  For the Holy Ghost will teach you what to say at that time.

No man can withstand the wisdom of God, in just a few words He can disarm every contrary voice.  You must come to know His voice before you need it, Christians by their very lifestyle convict the sinner of their sins.  How can you know God will speak to you when you need Him?  You will have no fear but be full of confidence.  O say can you hear?  Yes you can.  If you are a believer you can have no legitimate excuse for not hearing your Father speak to you.  Press into His will, His promises and know the joy of His Words.

What He did for them, He will do more for me.

I don’t give donations, rather I sow seed and I will reap a harvest, so help me God.
