No Fear Here

When I was a small boy, I attended Catholic schools all the way through the twelfth grade. I got the idea from the nuns that God and the devil had equal power. So I was afraid of God and the devil equally. I watched the movie, “The Exorcist” and when the devil killed that priest, real fear set in. I was convinced that priests were the most powerful Christians in the world. After I was saved and filled with the Spirit, it took a long time to wash all that religion out of my life. The Bible is full of truths that demonstrate the utter defeat of the devil. I want to show you one of these from a different perspective.

2 Timothy 1:7 God did not give us the spirit of fear; but He gave us the Spirit of power, of love and a sound mind.

There is a spirit of fear that comes from the devil. God has nothing to do with him, he’s self-employed. God sent His Spirit to minister a sound mind to us. If you have a sound mind, you can control what thoughts enter your mind. He also gave us the Spirit of love and power and a sound mind. All of these come from the same Spirit. The Spirit of love is God manifesting His love to our inner man. If you will accept this Spirit, than you can accept every promise given to you in the Bible. If you are not yet convinced that God loves you, you will struggle to believe everything God says to you. God’s love is motive for everything He has for you.
You are saved from the devil and his hell because God loves you. You cannot do anything to earn any of this. We are raised in a man’s world that teaches us that man’s love must be earned. It’s performance based love. Don’t ever downplay the process of renewing your mind. Before I became a believer, my mind was full of garbage. I desperately needed God’s Word to wash out my brain. When people accuse us of going to church and being brain-washed, they’re right. God is the only one who can convince you that He loves you.

1 John 3:18 Let us not love in word or tongue, but in deed and in truth.

God didn’t just tell us He loved us, He proved it with His deeds in truth. A man might say, “I love my truck. I love my boat. I love my motorcycle and I love my wife.” Does his wife fall into the same category as his possessions? We don’t recognize the love of men by just a mere statement. True love is demonstrated and proven by deeds and honesty. God does not need to tell us He loves us. He’s proven it once and forever. Jesus knew we would be born into this life spiritually dead, but He died for us anyway. He believed some would turn to Him despite having the sentence of death on them.
Perfect love casts out all fear
When our revelation of God comes to maturity, His love in us will cast out all fear. When you know that you know that God loves you, then you can believe and accept every promise. Wherever you find the love of God in manifestation, you will not find fear. You will not be like those who live in it. No fear here.

    OFFERING DECLARATION
I know the will of my Lord,
He takes pleasure in my prosperity.
He died to make me rich,
He became the curse for me.
If I yield to poverty and lack,
    I will disappoint my Lord.
Now I got my mind right,
    I am ready to prosper,
    spirit, soul and body.
