laws

When God created the worlds, He created laws that would govern and maintain all of creation. All of God's laws are good if they are adhered to.

1 Timothy 1:8 We know that the law is good if a man use it legitimately.

For centuries men have been violating God's laws and then complaining about how hard life is. But life is so much more rewarding when we comply with God's laws. They say that most men that are in prison for violating various laws claim they are innocent. God gave Israel ten commandments or ten laws. Do you know why He did this? Man had to have something from God to obey in order to show the devil who they would serve. Whoever you yield yourselves to obey, you become that entity's servant. Keeping God's laws made you God's servant and exposed you to all His blessings, but it also removed you from the devil's jurisdiction. Keeping God's commandments or laws have a profound effect on one's attitude.

Mathew 22:37-39 Jesus said you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart. You shall love your neighbor as yourself, these are the two greatest commandments.

If a man obeyed the ten commandments, he would be practicing the kind of love God expects. A man who walks in love is a man after God's own heart. This man will be blessed in everything he does, he will know the favor of God every day. Most people hate laws because they believe they hinder their freedom. What they don't understand is that laws ensure our freedom, they act as a barrier to the devil. Let's use a natural law as an example. You drive your car in a zone where the speed limit is twenty-five miles per hour, when you obey the law you are safe and so are all the people around you. But if you choose to ignore that law, you put other drivers and pedestrians in danger of major injuries. If you are caught by the police violating the law you will get a ticket and a fine, of which you will complain about for a long time.

Proverbs 29:18 He that keeps the law, happy is he.

1 John 5:3 His commandments are not grievous.

Why would a man be happy for keeping the law? When a man is dedicated to keeping the law, it is because he is committed to serving his Lord. He is happy because obedience is the key to all the blessings of the Lord. When a man is committed to obey His Lord, then no commandment is hard or grievous. When we do something because we have to, then it will all be difficult. But when we do something because we want to then it is always much easier. I love to obey my Lord because of what He did for me. I don't consider the rewards, but I accept them when they show up.

John 13:17 If you know these things, happy are you if you do them.

The law makes things clear, we know exactly what God expects from us. I had a black Labrador Retriever, that dog lived to please me. I want to be like that with my Lord. I am the most happy when I please Him and He changed my nature to make it easier for me to do. When you know what is at stake, you will embrace all the laws of God. You will be a person of love and you will have more blessings than what you have room for. Every law of God is an ingredient for love and obedience. When we submit to His ways, we are demonstrating our love for Him.
