judgement

Every man ever born of a woman will face judgement, this can be a good experience or a terrible experience. God is the righteous judge and He can judge anytime He chooses to.

Genesis 18:25 ...shall not the judge of all the earth do right?

Before I was born-again I was headed for a judgement that would have put me in hell forever. I deserved that judgement but I didn't know how to get out of it. But God who is rich in mercy led me to a truth I never knew of in my denominational church. A man led me in a prayer called the sinners prayer and I was delivered from condemnation. Now God would judge me in a way I could never imagine. He judged me as a righteous man void of all sin. So the judgement of God can be a blessing or a curse and we get to choose which one. God can judge anyone and anything any time He wants to. God is not a respecter of persons, He is a respecter of faith. He judges the righteous different from the unrighteous.

2 Corinthians 11:31-32 If we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. When we are judged, we are corrected of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

Only Christians can judge themselves because they must use the Word of God, something the heathens know nothing about. If believers refuse to judge themselves but rather justify themselves, they will be judged with the world. Men troll one another and play all kinds of games, but it won't work with God, the stakes are too high. The end game of God's judgement in His church is to keep us separated from the goats. A believer who is sincere about his relationship with the Lord will seek and welcome God's judgement.

1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgement must begin at the house of God: if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the Gospel of God?

We are judged righteous at the new birth but judgement does not come to an end! Even the righteous are susceptible to an occasional sin or two. If we will judge ourselves we will suffer no consequence for our error. Repentance is a gift from God, we can cleanse ourselves of all sin before it brings death into our life. A man who wants to please God will welcome His Father's judgement. A man who is all about pleasing his flesh will flee from judgement until one day it catches up to him. People who refuse to obey the Gospel have no chance of seeing God, His grace or His mercy. God does not decide who goes to Heaven or Hell, we make our pick and we must live with it.

Ephesians 5:27 Jesus will present to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle, or any such thing but it should be holy and without blame.

When God judges His church, He will compare it's activities with His Word. If a church is willing to repent, it will rid itself of spots and wrinkles. Spots and wrinkles are the result of compromise, religion is the epitome of compromise. Compromise comes from interpreting the Word of God, he must have ears to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying. A sincere believer will welcome judgement, a compromiser will flee from it. God's judgement will create the glorious church that He will present to Himself, we want to be a member of that church.
