Home Sweet Home

This present day world is the only home we have ever known. So it is rather challenging to imagine any other place to call home. Growing up in the world and being trained by the world, the world is all we know. God has given us His Word and He is asking us to believe that He has provided another home for us. We never get to see it but He wants all of us to come and remain there forever.

Hebrews 11:16  Now they desire a better home, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for He has prepared for them a city.

The old covenant saints believed God, they believed there was a home for them better than
anything in this world. When they believed, their attitude towards the world that raised them began to change. When a citizen of the world dies they will never leave this world. We must live here but we have a choice as to where we truly call home. It’s either the kingdom of man (darkness) or the Kingdom of God.

Galatians 6:14  The world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

The Apostle Paul considered the world dead as far as he was

concerned, and he figured he was dead to the world. There was no discourse between the two, Paul did not have a bumper sticker on his donkey that read: “Coexist”. He owed this world nothing, he pledged no allegiance to it’s “god” nor it’s system. It’s rather easy to identify a citizen of the world, they live in a constant state of fear because their kingdom is corroding away. The world is in a panic mode trying to save a planet that cannot be saved. They love this present world more than the one who created it, they tend to believe it was created by an explosion.

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Love creates a bond, a connection, God does not want us to be connected to something that is doomed. He wants us to be connected to Him, we cannot have both worlds simultaneously. If your emotions are controlling you, that’s an indication you’re too close to the world system. The doctrine of “global warming” has no affect on me, in the first place I don’t care and in the second place I don’t believe it. When people get into fear they do some very irrational things, they permit fear to regulate their life choices. Some folks are scared to death we are going to get hit by a giant asteroid. I just talked with a man that believes that in the next ten years we will deplete our fresh water supply.

Matthew 10:39 He that finds his life shall lose it: and he that loses his life for my sake shall find it.

If we will set our life, our desires, aside and seek God and His will for our life, we will find the life He died to give us. If we find our life apart from him, we will lose what we find to the beggarly elements of this world. The life I now live in Christ is far greater than the life I was planning on. My permanent home is with Christ, it will last just as long as he does. Jesus is my life; I am Home Sweet Home.

Just like the women who helped Jesus, I too can be like them.

God will receive my offerings and use them to build His church.

What He did for them, He will do more for me.

I don’t give donations, rather I sow seed and I will reap a harvest, so help me God.
