god's will

All believers have a choice as to where they will abide in life.  We can live in God’s will or we can live outside of His will.  Believers who step out of God’s will temporarily or permanently will lack confidence!  The Christians who are committed to being in His will are always full of confidence.

Proverbs 3:26 The Lord will be your confidence, and shall keep your foot from being taken.

When folks are committed to their Lord, God will protect them from the traps of the devil.  When a believer steps out of God’s will for their lives, they begin to question whether God will help them or not.  We must never take God for granted, we cannot assume He will help us even when we don’t acknowledge His lordship.  We must always keep in mind one thing, God is not our servant, we are His if we choose to be.  We honor our Lord with praise, worship and thanksgiving and then we put Him on the throne of our heart.

Ephesians 3:12 In Jesus we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of Him.

If you’re in Christ, you’re in His will and you can be confident that He hears your prayers and abides with you.  Some Christians have no confidence in God helping them and they don’t know how to change what they believe.  They struggle with their weakness because they have neglected to seek out God’s will for their lives.  Oftentimes our problems are not the source of our issues, usually there is a hidden base problem we never consider.  When I council people I just listen to them and eventually they will unwillingly tell me what the answer is to their victory.

Philippians 1:6 Be confident of this very thing, He that has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

When you asked Jesus to be your Savior, He agreed.  He came into your life and began to apply His grace to your old demonic nature.  God is Committed to improving your life and He won’t stop until you are with Him in Heaven.  God cannot help you, He cannot reach you if you don’t abide in His will.  All born-again Christians have the promise of eternal life but we must live out our life in the flesh first.  There is more to being born-again than waiting to die and go to Heaven.  We all live in an evil, fallen world and the only way to escape the wiles of the devil is to live in the perfect will of God.

Hebrews 6:18-19 It is impossible for God to lie, so He set a hope before us.  This hope is an anchor of our soul, both sure and steadfast.

When we step out of God’s will, our hope of all His promises begin to fade away.  When we abide in His will we anchor our soul and our hope to His faithfulness.  Every man needs a measure of hope.  When a man has no hope then the thought of suicide will hound him until he gets help or succumbs to it.  Having a good day or a bad day is a choice and we get to choose every day which one we will have.  If your hope is in the Lord you will have confidence and you will believe for a good day no matter what comes your way.  We have peace with God.  Peace is not the absence of problems, it’s the presence of God.
