god so loved the world

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

A lot of non-committed people hear this Scripture and just take God for granted, they reason within themselves that God loves them so they are accepted by Him. If they don't get their thinking corrected, they will be in for the shock of their lives. Why does God love all of mankind? Because we were created in His image and likeness. We were to be born His children but Adam sold all of us out to the devil and now we bear the image of satan. We are not responsible for Adam's sin, but we are responsible for his redemption. Just because God loves us does not qualify us for a place in Heaven! What does the Scripture mean when it says "God so loved the world:? It means He is committed to redeem every human being from sin and the devil.

Romans 5:8 God demonstrated His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

In plain terms, God meets us half way, without His sacrifice no man could be pardoned from their sin. God did what He needed to do. What is our part? We must believe in our hearts that He died for us and be willing to speak it out. If you truly believe, you will confess Him as your Savior frequently, not just once. When you confess Jesus as your Savior, your decision will be reflected in your daily life. All the sons of God act like their Father and they are not ashamed of the Gospel. There are a lot of folks whom God loves right up to the day they enter the portals of hell. Every person who enters hell goes against the will of God, they didn't think they needed Him. In this life we will please one of two entities, God or the devil.

1 John 4:19 We love Him because He first loved us.

God took the first step towards man, He demonstrated His love by taking our place on the cross. A few men will respond by giving Him what He wants from all men, He wants to be loved and appreciated like a Father. When one desires to be loved, they sow love with no strings attached. Some ignorant people try to please God their whole life but never accept Him as their Savior. Without faith it is impossible to please Him and faith works by love. God wrote the book, He made the rules. Thank God we don't have to try to figure out what He desires from us. All men will stand before God and give an account of their lives. God will ask one question: did you play by My rules or did you make up your own?

2 Corinthians 5:18 All things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and had given to us the ministry of reconciliation.

Reconciliation means to restore to divine order. When a man is a sinner, he is ranked below the angels and he is on the same plane as his father the devil. But when a man receives the love of God, he is elevated above all angelic beings, the devil, and all the ministering spirits. A born-again believer is not equal to God but he is invited to share the throne of Christ. Divine order is God, man, ministering spirits, all devils and all demons. God loves all men, He has already proven it, but most men will not respond to His eternal life saving love. How many people has God loved in vain? I don't know the answer but I know God would do it all over again because He is love. I exhort thee brethren, let God know how much you love Him. Keep His commandments and love Him with all your hearts and mind.
