Father's Milk

Over the past thirty years a lot of children were born to parents of this church. All these children grew up in church and they were taught the Word of  God. As they grew to adult children they left their homes and wandered away from the church. I have been praying for these kids for a lot of years. They are all good kids. I’m drawn to the squirrelly ones because they remind me of myself when I was their age. This week, the Lord gave me a Scripture that I never fully understood.

Isaiah 60: 4 Lift up your eyes and see all they gather themselves together, they come to you: your sons shall come and your daughters will be nursed by your side.

The Holy Spirit is giving us a prophetic word concerning the restoration of our families. When I read the part about our daughters nursing by our side, I pictured babies having mother’s milk. The Lord corrected my view of this Scripture. This is the correct way to read this passage:
Your sons and daughters will come to you and sit beside you and be nourished with the Word of God.
The sons and daughters don’t need mother’s milk they need Father’s Milk. They need the Word of God so they can grow into the saint God has predestined them to be. In order for this prophecy to be fulfilled the fathers and mothers must lay claim to it. The devil has lured our children away with all kinds of gimmicks, things that most of them regret dabbling with. As we believe and pray, the Holy Ghost will woo them back to our sides with the love of God. All of our kids need to know they can always come back to Father’s house. The love of God is much greater than the lure of the world.

Malachi 4:5 I will send you Elijah the prophet before the day of the coming of the Lord. Vs. 6 And he will turn the heart of the fathers to the children and heart of the children to their fathers overriding the curse.

I don’t know if this is actually Elijah or someone with his anointing, but he will be empowered to restore families. If the end of the last days are at hand then we are in this prophetic time of restoration. Remember, God has the power to rebuke the seed eater for our sake. When we submit to what God tells us, He will do what He promised to the obedient. We can learn something valuable from the story in the Bible of the prodigal son.

Luke 15:17 And when he came to himself, he said, in my father’s house he has bread to spare and I perish with hunger.

I believe our children will come back to rational thinking and recall how well off they were at home. I believe the Holy Spirit will remind them and then woo them back to be nourished along side of the parents. I will not give up praying and believing until all our kids are where they belong. They have all had mother’s  milk, but now it’s time to have Father’s milk whereby they can finish growing. So let’s keep praying in agreement and holdfast to our confession, God says they’re coming home.
