concerning grace

The sacrament of grace has become a controversial subject and it should never have been.  I would not have you ignorant brethren concerning grace.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.

Grace is the supernatural power of God that enters into the life of someone who requests it.  Grace wipes away all sin and then changes our nature, this is called being “born again”.  Grace transforms you from being a child of wrath to becoming a child of God.  Grace doesn’t just show up, it is the result of someone exercising their faith.  We are changed by grace through faith, so faith must come first.  As long as you live by faith of the Son of God you will have grace.

Grace cannot be earned in the traditional sense but that does not excuse us from being proactive.  If you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart, grace will do its miraculous working in your life.

James 2:17 Faith if it has no works, is dead, being alone.

What is faith?  If you can take God at His Word, if you can believe Him despite having no physical evidence, you have faith.  This kind of faith alone will get you nothing!  You must speak what you believe and then act on what you say, then faith comes alive and moves the hand of God.  So, if I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that Jesus died and rose again, then I must yield to the new creature grace has given birth to.  You cannot speak the word of faith and then ignore or resist what you declared.  So, let’s put everything in order: first you speak the word, then you act on what you say, then comes grace and finally the miracle.

Jude 1:4 Some ungodly people have wormed their way into the churches, saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives.

This is the epitome of the fake gospel!  There is no way grace can empower a person to lead an immoral life, because grace cannot function apart from faith.  Can a man sin by faith?  I trow not.  But what these folks do is redefine sin.  Let me give you an example: “same-sex unions are accepted with God because they are based on love and God is love”.  I would dread the day I stood before God and tried to explain to Him how I changed His Word/will!

Grace is an amazing gift if we accept it as God intended for us to have it.  Grace does things in our life we could never do for ourselves.  We cannot earn His grace but we must believe for it, if we couldn’t recognize His grace then how could we praise Him for it.  The Holy Ghost is called the Spirit of Grace, He manifests as the supernatural power of God.  If we violate His amazing grace, we are in essence defying the Holy Spirit.  Are we going to have God on His terms or on our own?  If we accept Him on His terms we will see His glory, if we take Him on our terms we will see nothing of any significance.  Take your faith and accept His grace as He gives it, you will love it.
