christian?

Currently sixty-three percent of Americans claim they are Christian, in the sixties it was nearly eighty percent. However, if you take a overview of the United States you would question even the sixty-three percent. Anyone can claim to be something but that doesn't make it true. Let's define Christian: a person who is dedicated to faith in Jesus and His teachings. Some people who claim to be a Christian know nothing about Jesus and it's very apparent. If you engage anyone in conversation, it won't take long to identify where they are spiritually. All Christians are in the process of growing in the Lord and are exempt from judgement. Christianity is from the teachings of Christ, religion is the teachings of men who misinterpret the truth. Some people prefer to be called Catholic rather than Christian, they think they are both the same.
3 John 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

Why did John make this statement? Because there is but one truth, but many doctrines that are a substitute for the truth. Remember the truth will make you free. Free from what? The false doctrine of the devil we call religion. We are to owe no man but to love him. We are not obligated to believe any man's religion. Religion is empowered by a seducing spirit, it appeals to the mind and it makes sense, but not faith. Religion makes you a judge of all men because it says if you are not one of us there is no salvation. God says if you don't believe in His Son Jesus, you're condemned already.

Mathew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Do not be in a rush to accept the testimony of anyone, you can't tell who they are by looking at them. No man can hide his identity forever, if you just watch he will expose himself for the better or worse. After nearly forty years of ministry I have learned to look for the fruit of all men. I have to admit some of the devils did a good job of hiding their horns, but they couldn't fool God. He ratted them out and I was spared. The folks who boast the most are the ones to watch out for, they are trying to promote themselves. Sometimes the most dedicated saints can turn away from God and begin to divide a church. There is nothing more dangerous than a saint with self-inflicted wounds, they are looking for someone to blame for their choices!

Romans 16:17-18 ...mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine you know is true. They do not serve the Lord Jesus, but their own lusty desires and by fair speeches they deceive the hearts of the innocent.

I have known a goodly number of people who seemed to live for chaos, they went from turmoil to turmoil. They had a type of victim mentality and they claimed to always be on the side of the one who was right. Churches always have a population of fools, they are the ones that the devil will use to create division. The agents of chaos always know what is best for everyone, they love to gather a team of know-it-alls and war with the brethren. Let me tell you how to tick off the devil, don't listen to a word he says! Church we are in agreement and nothing will be impossible to us, we will not allow the devil to have a voice in our council. We win.
