Can you finish your course?

If you are committed to obeying the Lord no matter what He asks of you, He has put you on a course.  You have been appointed and anointed to do something special for the Lord.  Most of the courses God puts you on are lifetime events.  Some things He assigns you to do will have a short time span but they are all part of your main course.  We always view our course from a spiritual perspective but rarely consider the physical aspect.  We cannot run our course if our bodies are racked with disease and pain.  The Apostle Paul was given a thorn in the flesh because God put him on a course to impart revelations.

Acts 20:24 None of these things move me, neither do  I count my life dear to myself, so I can finish my course with joy.

Paul relied on his Lord to protect and heal him of every demonic attack.  No matter what the devil threw at Paul, God would heal him and restore him.  One day Paul was stoned to death and his disciples prayed for him and he got up and walked to a nearby city.  The rock chuckers were very experienced stoners and they knew they had to crush Paul’s skull in order to kill him.  Paul walked to Derbe and preached the next day. No devil could shake Paul off his course.

If you have submitted to the course God has set before you, two things will happen.  First of all, the devil will unleash all the hell he can into your life.  He will turn people against you.  People who once were your friends will seemingly overnight begin to oppose you for no apparent reason.  The second thing to happen is an increase in God’s supernatural power.  The Lord will not leave you to fend for yourself, it is important to Him that you finish your course.  You can expect divine intervention and the favor of God.

2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.

Paul was given a course so he had to fight the good fight of faith in order to finish his course.  What was his course?  He had to convince the Jews and Gentiles that both camps would be saved by grace and baptized with the Holy Spirit.  The twelve original apostles got into a dispute over the idea of the Gentiles receiving salvation.  God had to supernaturally teach Paul and Peter His will.  Paul did everything God gave him to do,  he knew that his time here on the earth was coming to an end.  He would not permit the devil to harm him until he finished what he was called to do.

Because Paul was steadfast in his resolve to finish his course all of us are in the Kingdom of God and filled with His Spirit.  If Paul would have died before he finished his course God would have raised up another man.  God is going to have His witness in the earth.  There are not enough devils in the world who can stop Him.  God has given me the vision of restoring God’s supernatural power back to the local church.  I am not God’s first choice.  I know of at least five other pastors who had the vision.
