a healthy body

Last Sunday I shared a Scripture with you that teaches us how God adds every believer to His body.  He not only designates what part of the body you will be, but also what body or congregation you will be a part of.  The only way to peace, contentment and the blessings is to accept your position and your place.  As you diligently give yourself to Him and His Word, He begins to develop the gift that He has called you to be.  So, how do you begin, how do you get started?

Ephesians 4:16 He makes the whole body  fit together perfectly.  As each part does   its own special work, it helps the other  parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.

Every man’s gift is developed in the body the Lord puts him in.  If you are a member of a certain body they will recognize and accept you.  Your development begins where you help others to become what God has ordained them to be in the body.  A body will not be healthy nor will it grow without all the members ministering to one another in love.  But what about me, who’s going to help me?  The whole body ministers to itself, no one is to be excluded.  But what if no one loves me?  It won’t hinder you, endeavor to help others grow and your gift will be developed!

Galatians 5:13 You have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

We must all learn early on that ministry is an opportunity to serve people and in most cases to deny yourself.  Folks who unselfishly minister to others receive honor from those they help but their motive is always love.  The Lord has initiated a very simple law, learn to take care of your own body and you will know how to help others.  Men like Kenneth Copeland, Jerry Savelle and Jesse Duplantis are servants of the Lord Jesus.  They demonstrate to the Lord they can be trusted, so the Lord gave them an anointing to reach the masses.

Romans 12:5-9 We all have gifts that differ according to God’s grace, whether it be faith or maybe prophecy.  Always exercise your gift with cheerfulness and never fake love.

No matter what part or what function the Lord put you in, there is a subsequent supply of grace that causes the gift to function.  Don’t fake it, rely on your supply of grace and if God doesn’t impart it, then do nothing.  Endeavor to become proficient at building up your part of the body.  God will provide the opportunity for you to expand the influence of your gift, when He declares you fit and ready.  You can become too involved with your body ministry that you won’t even consider going beyond it, but when God says it’s time you will slip into it like a well-fitted glove.  Some bodies are so unhealthy they are not fit to help anyone, it’s usually on account of carnal Christians having too much influence.  We are healthy and we are ready, so Lord send us into the world where we can spread the love of God around.

OFFERING DECLARATIONJust like the women who helped Jesus, I too can be like them.
God will receive my offerings and use them to build His church.
What He did for them, He will do more for me.
I don’t give donations, rather I sow seed and I will reap a harvest, so help me God.
