A lot of “Christians” base their faith on the theories of men. A theory is nothing more than an unproven thought. Darwin’s theory of evolution cannot be proven. It is impossible for something to create itself. I believe Darwin based his theory on the natural birth of a baby. A baby begins as an unidentifiable tissue mass. It grows and develops in a liquid mass and then “evolves” into a living being. Darwin used this actual process to support his theory on the origin of species. A lot of folks would rather believe Darwin’s theory than accept the idea that God created all things.
1 Corinthians 2:14 The natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
When people begin to interpret the Word of God, they come up with theories. Men start denominations based on theories, we call it “religion”. I once read some literature handed out by a certain church, it said this: If you don’t worship on Saturday you will go to hell. The Bible tells us that the Father is seeking true worshippers, folks who will worship anytime, at any place. But these people are so adamant over “their” doctrine, no Scripture could convince them otherwise. I would not want to stand before God on judgement day and offer Him my “theory”.
God gave man a brain (mind) to interpret the things in the natural realm. The same God gave man a spirit so as to discern the truth and will of God. God gave us two distinctly different words that we erroneously thought meant the same thing.
Discern: to see the difference - discriminate - see and understand - make distinctions
Interpret: using intelligence to gain understanding.
For centuries men have been interpreting God’s Word, they have founded all the religions of the world. Religion can be argued and debated the whole day long because all men have different interpretations. The Word of God is not debatable because God reveals the same thing to all men. I love to sit with a brother or sister and hear what God has revealed to them. God gave us His Word, He never intended for it to make sense, it is given to make faith. People are so dedicated to their “theories” they won’t relinquish them, because they would have to admit their errors.
Theories are based on perception, the way men see the things in their world. But when a man discerns the Word of God, he can take that word and frame his world wherein God will dwell. Religion had put God out of reach for most people. It offers too many road blocks. Religion offers a synthetic relationship with no intimacy. Religion will tell you that God loves you but it can’t explain why. Their response to legitimate questions are theories they don’t even understand. God promises to reveal Himself to the discerning heart.
Jesus Redeemed me from the curse, no poverty, no lack in my house.
Wealth and riches in my home, the devil is rebuked for my sake.
Father daily loads me with benefits, He takes pleasure in my increase.
I love being redeemed,
and I give my Lord all the glory.
We are about to embark on the greatest adventure and outpouring of God’s Spirit! This month the Holy Spirit is asking us to examine ourselves/take inventory so as God’s Vessels we can take our part and place in the Body of Christ!
Scriptures to meditate on:
Hebrews 12:1 Therefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.
Psalm 26:4 Lord you can scrutinize me. Refine my heart and probe my every thought. Put me to the test and you will find it is true.
2 Cor 10:6 It is written, and having a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
1 Peter 4:17 For judgement begins at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?
Psalm 139: 23, 24 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me of unbelief and lead me in the way everlasting.
2 Timothy 2:4 No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of (civilian) life: his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him (God)! DO ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD!
