The world has no idea just how important Christ’s body is to them. They think church folks are weak and have an illusion of some mystical relationship with God. They openly criticize what they don’t understand and they are not shy about it. They don’t realize what they have but they will miss the Christians after they are taken out. But what about now? What is the connection between the church of Jesus Christ and the heathen world?
Genesis 12:1-3 Now the Lord said unto Abram, leave your father’s house and I will bless you and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.
All the families. Makes no exceptions when Abram obeyed, God would bless the entire world. Abram left his father’s house and became a “mobile nation.” He had three hundred and eighteen servants, flocks, herds, camels, silver and gold. When Abram came to a city he would have a major impact on the economy. When a man had camels they were the world’s first “freight company.” Abram bought and sold. He could supply most cities with the goods they needed.
Genesis 14:20 ...and Abram gave tithes of all he had…
Tithing did not originate with the Mosaic law, it really began in the garden of Eden. Abram said that no man would make him rich, but his God would. All the families in the world were blessed by Abram and all his wealth. Several times now I heard Kenneth Copeland make this statement:
The world economy is in a mess because God’s people are not tithing.
A recent study showed that less than seven percent of the Christians pay their tithes. If all the believers would give God His tithes we could bless all the families of the earth. The church should be in charge of the welfare system, not the government. The government has poured trillions of dollars into entitlements, but the people are not better off.
Ecclesiastes 9:16 ...the poor man’s wisdom is despised and his words are not heard.
Most churches are struggling financially. They do not have a voice the world is interested in. The ministers that are thriving are despised. Folks think all churches should be poor. Most folks ignore the poor, they have nothing to offer that they can’t borrow and get for themselves.
Malachi 3:10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse and I will open over you the windows of Heaven and pour you out the blessing you won’t have room for all of it.
If God’s people will tithe, they will have enough to operate all ministries and enough to bless all the families of the earth. Early on in our ministry we began to tithe and God blessed us. We built everything debt-free. We don’t have any money dedicated to a mortgage. We are in a position to be a blessing. We can offer the world blessings the world can never offer. If your not a tither, repent and give God His due. You will love living under an open Heaven.
Jesus Redeemed me from the curse, no poverty, no lack in my house.
Wealth and riches in my home, the devil is rebuked for my sake.
Father daily loads me with benefits, He takes pleasure in my increase.
I love being redeemed,
and I give my Lord all the glory.
We are about to embark on the greatest adventure and outpouring of God’s Spirit! This month the Holy Spirit is asking us to examine ourselves/take inventory so as God’s Vessels we can take our part and place in the Body of Christ!
Scriptures to meditate on:
Hebrews 12:1 Therefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.
Psalm 26:4 Lord you can scrutinize me. Refine my heart and probe my every thought. Put me to the test and you will find it is true.
2 Cor 10:6 It is written, and having a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
1 Peter 4:17 For judgement begins at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?
Psalm 139: 23, 24 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me of unbelief and lead me in the way everlasting.
2 Timothy 2:4 No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of (civilian) life: his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him (God)! DO ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD!
