the walk of faith

There are four places in the Bible that say the just shall live by faith.  Living by faith is not an option, for without faith it is impossible to please God.  Evidently God wants us to believe Him even when we don’t understand.  Out in the wilderness Moses led Israel out of Egypt and their destination was the promised land.  There were over two million people and they needed water because God had led them to a place where they had to trust Him for their survival.  God told Moses to smack a rock with a stick and when he did water came out of the rock.  God has a habit of telling His people to do things that defy common sense.

John 2:5 His mother said unto the servants, whatsoever Jesus says unto you, do it.

At the marriage supper in Cana, Jesus told the catering service to fill the large earthen pots with water and the water became wine.  It is very clear to see what the key to miracles is, it is doing exactly what the Master says to do.  Why does God tell men to do strange things?  Because faith requires an action and obedience makes the way for a miracle.  If you do not trust God you have no faith and you will not see Him move on your behalf.

Mark 6:6 He could do no mighty works there because of their unbelief, and He went about the village teaching.

God can do anything but when men don’t believe Him, He can do nothing.  The earth, the fulness of it and all who dwell in it belong to the Lord.  So if God created the world then He owns it and He gets to make all the laws and rules.  Only a fool and the devil would argue with God concerning His ways.  Resistance is futile, you will only end up harming yourself and those around you.  If the kingdom isn’t broke, don’t fix it.  Flow with God, He has the keys to success.  Walking by faith is much easier than what men make it out to be, simply act like the New Testament is true.

Mark 11:23 Whosoever will say to this mountain, be removed and cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, he will have whatsoever he says.

Faith is released in words.  What are those words?  They are the same words Jesus spoke, so you know they will be effective.  Walking in faith is simply believing God every day of your life, so you must believe that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.  Faith is not some mysterious element of the supernatural, everyone has faith!  People in the world have faith for all kinds of sickness and disease, they have faith for God’s punishment.  How do you know what people are believing for?  Just listen to the words coming out of their mouths.  “I am so sick”, “I am so broke”, “Well, I’ll be damned”.  Using words to have what you want did not originate in the Bible, having what God wants you to have comes out of the Bible.  The world has faith and they use it to access the curse that the devil loosed into our world.  Walk in the faith God gives to all those who believe and enjoy a blessed and victorious life.

    Scriptures to meditate on:

Hebrews 12:1 Therefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.

Psalm 26:4 Lord you can scrutinize me. Refine my heart and probe my every thought. Put me to the test and you will find it is true.

2 Cor 10:6 It is written, and having a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

1 Peter 4:17 For judgement begins at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?

Psalm 139: 23, 24 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me of unbelief and lead me in the way everlasting.

2 Timothy 2:4 No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of (civilian) life: his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him (God)! DO ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD!
