It was God who created the world and it was God who created man and put him in a garden.  And it was God who put all the laws of nature in place, it was God who made all the rules.

Psalm 89:34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips!

God has spoken His will into the earth and He will never change His mind, and no man can change or alter what He said.  We either play by His rules or we don’t, it’s our choice.  If we obey He will bless us, if we rebel we will reap what WE sow.  God will show mercy to the ignorant for a season but He will also offer them truth.  He will always show mercy to those who repent of their trespasses, but compromisers are subject to judgement.  King Saul was anointed to be Israel’s first king, he was a mighty soldier and led Israel to freedom.  But when he compromised the instructions God gave him, it cost him his anointing and his position.  Saul was a great king but God would not alter His Word to make provision for Saul’s error.

John 3:18 He that believes in Jesus is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not  believed in the Name of the  only begotten Son of God.

So is God a cruel task master that sends people to hell because they don’t believe?  No way!  God is love and He has made a way and a place in heaven for every person ever born of a woman.  Every single person in heaven and every single person in hell are there by the choices they made!  Ever since I was a boy in the Catholic church I wanted to go to heaven.  I loved the Catholic church but they couldn’t get me to heaven because they didn’t know how.  One day someone opened the Bible and showed me God’s will, it was so clear and precise.  I believed Jesus died on the cross, no one believes that better than a Catholic.  I just needed to confess with my mouth, that is something I had never done.  God never changes His Word, I needed to change in order to comply with His Word.

Luke 4:4 It is written, that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word of God.

Life is not just the natural part of life, it includes the spiritual as well.  The natural man is fed natural food and produces physical strength.  The spirit man is fed spiritual food, the Word of God, and it produces a force called faith.  God has predetermined the menu, He knows what we need to be spiritually healthy.  Religion is genetically altered Bible, it is junk food to the spirit of man.  In the natural we know that there are things that are good for us and things that are not good.  The life God chose for us cannot come from eating meat and potatoes alone, they can keep you alive but only for a number of years.  The food He offers will keep us alive forever, so the body and the spirit need to be fed.  Which ever we feed the most will be the strongest!  I love God’s rules, I know exactly what He said and I know what He expects.  When we play by the rules God is no longer a mysterious being, His rules give us revelations of His very being.

    PRAYER FOCUS
    TAKING INVENTORY

We are about to embark on the greatest adventure and outpouring of God’s Spirit! This month the Holy Spirit is asking us to examine ourselves/take           inventory so as God’s Vessels we can take our part and place in the Body of Christ!

    Scriptures to meditate on:

Hebrews 12:1 Therefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.

Psalm 26:4 Lord you can scrutinize me. Refine my heart and probe my every thought. Put me to the test and you will find it is true.

2 Cor 10:6 It is written, and having a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

1 Peter 4:17 For judgement begins at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?

Psalm 139: 23, 24 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me of unbelief and lead me in the way everlasting.

2 Timothy 2:4 No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of (civilian) life: his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him (God)! DO ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD!
