Christianity is far more than a prayer and a membership in a Church. Christianity is a revelation that leads to a transformation. God sent Jesus to die for your sins so He could begin a life long relationship with you. God wants to hangout with you and talk with you. How do you feel about that? We must understand how special we are to Him that He was willing to die in our place. God calls all men to Himself, but he chooses few. A lot of folks are just “not ready” to accept the responsibility of this kind of relationship.
God is not satisfied to have “some” relationships. He has a place in His heart for all men. God takes no pleasure when any man becomes eternally separated from Him through the hardness of their hearts. We have all had friends that have come and gone. God must never be numbered among them. He never leaves us nor forsakes us even when we disrespect Him through our rebellion. What can we offer God for all that He has done for us? The best thing we can give Him is our redeemed soul by calling Him Lord and Master.
Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid.
We can reach a point where God cuts us off from His gift of grace. If we choose to continue in our rebellion we disqualify ourselves from the grace He died to impart to us. If this truth is difficult to accept take inventory of your life. Are you in the faith or not? Don’t wait for judgment day to find the answer. We don’t want our family and friends to go to hell, well neither does God. That’s why He died for our sins.
If you want your family and friends to be saved tell them to do what you did. If they’re not willing, pray for them. God will save key members of a family then anoint them to pray the others in. We cannot change the rules just to give ourselves a fleeting peace of mind. You are an eternal being and the life you now live in the flesh is the shortest phase of your existence.
Except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
The scribes and Pharisees were the most spiritual men of the day, but they were not saved. Their descendants are among us today, we must not accept their doctrine of salvation. Physical appearance reveals little about a man. His thoughts and convictions reveal the man. The Scribes and Pharisees were adding their pet doctrine to what God gave them. They twisted the Scriptures to give themselves a position of prominence. Jesus rebuked them publicly because they were hypocrites. They made demands of the people but excused themselves.
If you are a Cristian you have the responsibility to be a member of Christ’s Body. Whether you want it or not, you are connected to the Lord. Choose to be a responsible citizen of the Kingdom of God and you will rule and reign with Him throughout eternity.
Jesus Redeemed me from the curse, no poverty, no lack in my house.
Wealth and riches in my home, the devil is rebuked for my sake.
Father daily loads me with benefits, He takes pleasure in my increase.
I love being redeemed,
and I give my Lord all the glory.
We are about to embark on the greatest adventure and outpouring of God’s Spirit! This month the Holy Spirit is asking us to examine ourselves/take inventory so as God’s Vessels we can take our part and place in the Body of Christ!
Scriptures to meditate on:
Hebrews 12:1 Therefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.
Psalm 26:4 Lord you can scrutinize me. Refine my heart and probe my every thought. Put me to the test and you will find it is true.
2 Cor 10:6 It is written, and having a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
1 Peter 4:17 For judgement begins at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?
Psalm 139: 23, 24 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me of unbelief and lead me in the way everlasting.
2 Timothy 2:4 No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of (civilian) life: his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him (God)! DO ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD!
