When God created man He gave man his own kingdom where man had all dominion. When Adam sinned he brought himself and his kingdom under the lordship of satan. Adam violated a spiritual law:
To whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you become to whom you obey.
In the beginning Adam was the god of this world, now he would become it’s possession. He would have to contend with things he was not created to deal with . He severed his ties to his Creator and now he was on his own. His only friend in the whole world was Eve and she was no better off than he is. Six thousand years later another “Adam” was born into this fallen world. This Adam didn't have a natural father so He was not born spiritually dead. A man sinned and brought damnation into the world, a man would have to get it all back.
I love reading my Bible and watching God set a snare for the god of this world. He made a covenant with Moses and gave him the law. Once a year the Priest would offer up the blood of an animal to “cover” the sins of His covenant people. The devil applauded this law because he was all about death of any kind. When Jesus began His ministry, John the Baptist called him “The Lamb of God.”
1 Cor. 2:8 Had the rulers of the darkness of this world known, they would not have crucified Christ.
The devil is the epitome of spiritual death, he is not capable of receiving revelation of any kind. God had a master plan prepared before the foundation of the world. God revealed it to the Prophets and even they couldn’t comprehend the plan.
The Prophets inquired and searched for understanding of the grace that brought salvation.
The devil is motivated by death and deception, God was using these tools to destroy the devil forever. He tried to kill Jesus the day He was born and he tried several times when Jesus was Ministering. Jesus was God’s sacrifice, He had to die but not by stones or swords. The devil convinced the church that Jesus was a threat to them, so they conspired to crucify Him.
11 Cor. 5:21 God made Jesus to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God.
Jesus was an innocent lamb, God had to make Him sin because cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree. If Jesus ever sinned even one time, the Holy Ghost would not have been able to raise Him from the dead.
Hebrews 1:2 The Father has appointed Jesus to be heir of all things.
A lot of covenant men died but none like Jesus, He was an innocent man. His Blood atoned for all the sins of all men. When Jesus defeated the devil, He regained everything that God gave to Adam. God made Him heir of all things and Jesus declared all born again believers to be joint heirs. The devil is god of this world but we are his overlords, he is subject to everything we command him. Faith created the devil, faith in Jesus name will control him. The devil must release all the stuff he stole from us, because we are the heirs of God.
Jesus Redeemed me from the curse, no poverty, no lack in my house.
Wealth and riches in my home, the devil is rebuked for my sake.
Father daily loads me with benefits, He takes pleasure in my increase.
I love being redeemed,
and I give my Lord all the glory.
We are about to embark on the greatest adventure and outpouring of God’s Spirit! This month the Holy Spirit is asking us to examine ourselves/take inventory so as God’s Vessels we can take our part and place in the Body of Christ!
Scriptures to meditate on:
Hebrews 12:1 Therefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.
Psalm 26:4 Lord you can scrutinize me. Refine my heart and probe my every thought. Put me to the test and you will find it is true.
2 Cor 10:6 It is written, and having a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
1 Peter 4:17 For judgement begins at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?
Psalm 139: 23, 24 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me of unbelief and lead me in the way everlasting.
2 Timothy 2:4 No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of (civilian) life: his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him (God)! DO ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD!
