The Demon of Compromise

According to the law of physics, water will always seek the path of least resistance. According to law of human nature, most folks seek the easiest way forward. Jesus died to make a way, a way that does not always agree with the flesh. When something is presented for debate, it is usually settled by a majority rule. God does not operate a “democratic type” Kingdom, He is the righteous judge and He made all laws. This is the part I like the most, you don’t need an attorney to interpret God’s laws.

Ephesians 4:24 Put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

When you received  Jesus as your Savior, your inner man, the spirit, was recreated in the image of Christ. You are now the very righteousness of Christ. As you yield to this impartation, your life begins to change. You begin to get free of the power your flesh had over your life. As you renew your mind to the Word, the devil begins to lose control over you and he don’t like it one bit. His final attempts to stay united with you is to offer you a compromised “Christian” lifestyle. So the Scripture exhorts us to put on the new man created in TRUE holiness.

True holiness is when a born-again believer accepts God’s gift of grace that empowers him to live and act like Christ.

Some pastors have come to offer their people a progressive type of gospel. This is an alternative to the hard, uncompromising Word of God that some Christians struggle with. A progressive approach to the Word of God takes into account the “signs of times”. The Supreme Court passed a law that legalized same-sex marriage. Some pastors and spiritual leaders stepped up to bless such unions. This is their brand of holiness, but it is not TRUE holiness. These folks are on the path of least resistance, there is very little discomfort to their flesh. When a person commits to a life of TRUE holiness, they will need to take up their cross and crucify their flesh daily.

Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Folks who are of the flesh want God, but on their terms and they want God to approve of their terms. Some people feel that God is old fashion, that He has not kept up with the times. When Jesus walked the earth, He quoted and lived by the things Moses said over two thousand years previous. Times change and people change, but God’s Word endures forever. Liberal thinking people pass laws in the name of freedom. But what are they getting free from? They seek freedom from God’s laws that hinder their expression of equality. Unless God says you are free, you are not free.

And you shall perceive the truth and the truth you know will make you free.

What did Jesus die to set us free of? Our flesh, that is susceptible to every temptation of the devil. When you say no to your flesh, you are denying the devil an opportunity to bring hell into your life. Anyone can compromise the truth, but a true believer will not yield to any of it, they are sons of God.

Psalm 26:4 Lord you can scrutinize me. Refine my heart and probe my every thought. Put me to the test and you will find it is true.

2 Cor 10:6 It is written, and having a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

1 Peter 4:17 For judgement begins at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?

Psalm 139: 23, 24 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me of unbelief and lead me in the way everlasting.

2 Timothy 2:4 No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of (civilian) life: his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him (God)! DO ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD!
