Here is the word given by Smith Wigglesworth to Lester Sumrall in 1939. Smith Wigglesworth to Lester Sumrall in 1939 (WWII ready to break out) with tears rolling down his face Smith cried saying, “ I probably won’t see you again now. My job is almost finished.” As he continued to pray he cried, “I see it, I see it!” Brother Sumrall asked, “What do you see, what do you see?” He said, “I see a healing revival coming right after World War II. It’ll be so easy to get people healed. I see it! I see it! I won’t be here for it, but you will be.” And there was a healing revival right after the war. He continued to prophecy, “I see another one, I see people of all different denominations being filled with the Holy Ghost.” That was the Charismatic revival. God raised up people during that era, like the Full Gospel Businessmen. Then Brother Wigglesworth continued, “I see another move of God. I see auditoriums full of people, coming with notebooks. There will be a wave of teaching on faith and healing.” We did experience that wave he saw, and we call it the Word of Faith movement. Then he prophesied, “After that, after the third wave,” he started sobbing. “I see the last day revival that’s going to usher in the precious fruit of the earth. It will be the greatest revival this world has ever seen! It’s going to be a wave of the gifts of the spirit. The ministry gifts will be flowing on this planet earth. I see hospitals being emptied out, and they will bring the sick to churches where they allow the Holy Ghost to move.”
Smith Wigglesworth was shown every move of God beginning after World War II. I was just a young Catholic boy when Oral Roberts was on television healing people. We didn’t have “healing” in the Catholic church, so we didn’t believe what God was doing through Brother Roberts and others. Before Oral died he said we haven't seen anything yet, “healing was coming back big time”.
At about this same time after WWII, R.W. Schambach was an associate of A.A. Allen. A mother brought her baby to Brother Allan and handed it to him. Brother Schambach said the baby had over twenty birth defects. The baby had no eyes, its bones were deformed so it could not walk or use its arms. The baby was a vegetable, deaf and mute. It survived by the grace of God. Brother Allen began to pray for the baby and Brother Schambach watched as little pools formed in the baby’s eye sockets, he witnessed the creation of eyes in the baby. Then he heard the baby’s bones cracking as its legs and arms straightened out. Finally Brother Allen set the baby down and it walked to its mother. At that point the Lord spoke to Brother Schambach and told him He was going to do it again, this is what He showed brother Wigglesworth.
Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe…they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall conceive.
Every Spirit-filled believer who is of the faith of God knows this Scripture. But it doesn’t work for everyone! So, either we’re missing it or God’s missing it, I choose us. We must read the rest of the chapter or we will neglect to do what the Master requires of us.
Mark 16:20 The believers went forth and preached everywhere, the Lord working with and confirming the Word with signs following.
Go back and read Brother Wigglesworth’s prophecy, he saw people being taught the Word of faith. The last days revival will follow the preaching of faith, you cannot separate a move of the Spirit from the Word of God.
Jesus Redeemed me from the curse, no poverty, no lack in my house.
Wealth and riches in my home, the devil is rebuked for my sake.
Father daily loads me with benefits, He takes pleasure in my increase.
I love being redeemed,
and I give my Lord all the glory.
We are about to embark on the greatest adventure and outpouring of God’s Spirit! This month the Holy Spirit is asking us to examine ourselves/take inventory so as God’s Vessels we can take our part and place in the Body of Christ!
