I hear people say this phrase all the time: “All we can do now is pray.” It makes it sound like prayer is the last resort and the very least we can do. Never underestimate the power of prayer. One man sought for Jesus to come and pray for his sick daughter. Before Jesus could make His way to his home, the little girl died. The family told Jesus not to bother coming to their house, it was too late. But Jesus had committed Himself to go and pray for the girl. I love what He told the father; “Don’t fear, only believe.” Jesus went to the house and put out all the unbelievers and prayed for the little girl. Immediately, she got up and walked, totally healed.
Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Ifyou rightly discern this Scripture, you will live your entire life in prayer. The Lord wants us to pray about everything. He wants us to invite Him into our lives. Far too many Christians take God for granted. They believe that as long as He knows their situation that He’s involved! Look at that Scripture again! It says you let your requests be known to God. God wants to be involved with our lives, but He needs an invitation. He works with the “will” of man. Prayer isan invitation to God to partner with you in all your endeavors.
1 Timothy 2:1
I exhort you to first of all, make supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving be made for all men.
We are encouraged by the Word of God to pray for all men, whether they be good, bad, or in authority. The devil targets key people in a church or in a ministry. If he can knock out key people, he can have an affect on the rest of the body. It took me awhile, but I caught on to his scheme long ago. When good people die early, it weighs heavy on my heart. Knowing they are in heaven, keeps me from depression. But when good people submit to the devil and turn against me and the vision, the pain is almost unbearable. This is the reason God instructs us to pray for all men who are in key positions. It is easier to deal with the death of a friend than it is to deal with the scorn and rejection of a friend.
1 Corinthians 14:4
He that prays in an unknown tongue builds himself up.
When we have exhausted every avenue in our thinking and we still have a problem we can pray in tongues. Praying in
tongues empowers us to deal with lingering issues that try to overpower us. When we pray in tongues, the Holy Ghost speaks the Word we need over our lives. If we would pray often, perhaps we could keep ourselves from becoming unequipped to deal with our problems. I liken prayer to a football game. All the players get together in a huddle and the coach sends in a play. We are the team, God is the coach and the devil is the opposition. When we come out of the huddle, we have a plan but the devil doesn’t know what we are going to do. There is a plan called the “jail break”. One player takes the ball, which is the vision and follows all of his brothers into the end zone. Then they get together and do a victory celebration.

I bring the Lord’s tithe in the storehouse,
this is where I’m being fed.
Now bless the seed I sow,
multiply the seed that I give.
I will have no lack in my life,
because you rebuke the seed eaters for me.
Thank You Lord for my storehouse,
and thank you for a place to sow.
Bless my storehouse with provision,
and bless our house with the people that belong here.
