Perilous Times

9/8/2015

There is no doubt we have entered perilous times; men seemingly care only about themselves.

2 Timothy 3:1 But understand this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear].

People in general have had their love for others wax cold. They are out for themselves almost exclusively. When people become this self-centered they will ignore people lying helplessly on the ground, victims of crime. People will vote to give power to the welfare state; they must be cared for free of charge. They have care and regard for people as long as they stay out of their way and don’t challenge their ways.

This is not the time to have a lukewarm relationship with the Lord. Now more than ever should we draw close to Him. God is the only one who makes sense any more. Most folks act goofy as they conform to the ways of the devil. The devil is crazy and his antics are showing up in his followers. It wasn’t too long ago that the idea of men marrying other men was considered a perversion. Now it’s the “new norm”. Even preachers are adding their blessing to it. Don’t get caught up in the devil’s latest and last attempt to populate his eternal home. Holdfast to the Word of God that is saving your soul and protecting you from perilous times.

    OFFERING DECLARATION
Jesus Redeemed me from the curse, no poverty, no lack in my house.

Wealth and riches in my home, the devil is rebuked for my sake.

    I love being redeemed,
and I give my Lord all the glory.

    PRAYER FOCUS
    TAKING INVENTORY

We are about to embark on the greatest adventure and outpouring of God’s Spirit! This month the Holy Spirit is asking us to examine ourselves/take           inventory so as God’s Vessels we can take our part and place in the Body of Christ!

    Scriptures to meditate on:

Hebrews 12:1 Therefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.

Psalm 26:4 Lord you can scrutinize me. Refine my heart and probe my every thought. Put me to the test and you will find it is true.

2 Cor 10:6 It is written, and having a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

1 Peter 4:17 For judgement begins at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?

Psalm 139: 23, 24 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me of unbelief and lead me in the way everlasting.

2 Timothy 2:4 No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of (civilian) life: his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him (God)! DO ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD!
