Last Sunday the Lord graced us with a great word on the subject of love.  As I ponder and meditate this subject further I see that when a person loves, they respect mankind.  Love does not agree with everyone, it does not celebrate diversity as defined by the world.  Jesus loves all sinners but He still needed to die for them.

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is LOVE, Joy, peace, etc.

The fruit in this text comes from the Lord and it begins in the heart or the spirit of man.  The first type of fruit to manifest is love and it originates with God.  At the new birth we are baptized or planted into the life of Christ.  The Bible refers to us as “trees”, well every tree takes time before it produces fruit.  If we are the branch and we are connected to the trunk (Jesus), we will have some fruit.

“Every branch in Me that bears no fruit the Father takes it away”

I have branches on my apple trees that never have apples on them, they’re called “suckers”.  Every year I fire up my chainsaw and cut these suckers off and throw them away.  If we neglect to let the life of Christ flow through us we will have no fruit!

Love is a supernatural (fruit) empowerment that enables us to act like God (the tree).

If we don’t have love we can’t forgive and if we can’t forgive God is not obligated to forgive us.  Love is the first fruit that appears in our lives, it comes from the one we are divinely connected to.  Once love shows up, the rest of His fruit begins to form on our branch.  The devil has no law that would give him an inroad into our lives.  A law to the devil is like a key that opens up our lives that he may have access.

Love invites Christ in and keeps the devil out.

1 John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Telling people you love them means nothing unless it is supported with a corresponding action.  You can let people know you love them without ever saying a word.  Jesus does not want us to tell Him we love Him, He wants us to demonstrate our love for Him.

John 14:23 And Jesus said: If a man love Me he will keep My Word: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make Our abode with him.

If you are dedicated to hearing and believing God’s Word, you love God.  God in His fullness has come to take up residence in your life, God is no longer in heaven, He is in your spirit.  You will never need to go search for God in order to pray, He is with and within you forever.  People will know you love God because you love them despite not deserving it.  You will have a peace and a joy that no man could possibly conjure up.  You will have an attitude that is attractive to all sorts of people, they will come to you and show you favor.

    OFFERING DECLARATION
    February 17, 2019

I bring the Lord’s tithe in the storehouse,
this is where I’m being fed.
Now bless the seed I sow,
multiply the seed that I give.
I will have no lack in my life,
because you rebuke the seed eaters for me.
Thank You Lord for my storehouse,
and thank you for a place to sow.
    Bless my storehouse with provision,
and bless our house with the people that belong here.
