We all stand in awe as we take an overview at how far into despair our world has come. The United States was the most prosperous and noteworthy country in the world and now our government can no longer conceal all of its corruption. People march in the streets and demand the right to kill unborn babies. It has become a crime to call out the sin of homosexuality, it’s called a hate crime. Corrupt politicians have ignored our constitution and opened the southern border in order to import more people to bolster the members of their party. All of these people can be found in the Bible, the love of money is the root of all evil.
Isaiah 5:20 Woe (judgement is coming) unto them that call evil good and good evil.
These people have a reprobate mind. They know they’re wrong but have become very skilled in justifying their crimes against man and God. They hate Christians because the righteous convict them of their sin so they find churches that will agree with their beliefs. Churches are supposed to be the places of worship, but they have become a den for thieves. They have so compromised God’s Word that God has been voted out of His own house. Jesus foresaw what was coming and He warned whosesoever would listen that perilous times were coming.
Mathew 24:4 The disciples asked Jesus what the signs of His return would be. Jesus said take heed that no man deceive you.
His warning went unheeded and deception has entered the governments and most of the churches. Spiritual leaders have become so busy pleasing the people that the devil took a place in their organization and they don’t even know it. God has had to deal with a remnant and now He must do it again. True believers are praying for the lost and the backslidden but they are largely ignored.
Luke 12:32 Fear not little flock: for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.
God is committed to care for those who are committed to Him. He has provided a safe place to live in this fallen world. If you are born-again, your Heavenly Father is faithful to watch over you and keep you from the evil one of this day. It is very easy to observe the world and become discouraged but you have another option.
Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind (thoughts) is stayed on You: because he trusts in You.
We can focus on the world around us continuing to decay or we can consider our Heavenly Father. Those who invite the presence of the Lord will not be adversely affected by the corruption of this world. We can no more alter the evil in this world; just as we cannot change the climate. Men who love money have clever ways of extorting it out of the citizens. They tell us the answer to stopping climate change is to tax the people and blame them for the problem.
How does a Christian live in the last days? He lives by the faith of the Son of God and so he lives very well. We cannot stop what the devil is doing to the world but we can keep him out of our thoughts and lives. Living in the presence of God is the very definition of prosperity. It’s very difficult to have fear when you know God is on your side. Fair well as you live above the evil in this present world.
Jesus received offerings
so the people could be blessed.
And Jesus was a giver,
He had Judas give to the poor. (John 13:29)
Jesus owned a house in Capernaum, He was a rich Jew.
But He became poor
so we could become rich.
PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH
This celebration was established in 1992 with a mission of uplifting and encouraging pastors, missionaries and religious workers.
“And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” Jeremiah 3:15
PRAYING BLESSINGS OVER
PASTOR JERRY & KATHY LAMPING
& PASTOR MANDY MOODY AND HER FAMILY
Praying 3 John 1:2 “Beloved, we wish above all things that you will prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.”
Praying that God will continue to supply all their needs and answer their wants.
Praying they will see the fruit of their labor.
Pray and ask God how you may show your appreciation.
Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.
