It is important to know God’s voice if you want to be led by His Spirit. We spend the bulk of our time trying to learn His voice, thinking that’s all we need. God has more ways to communicate with us than we can calculate. We must establish the communication rules, it’s our responsibility! Some folks want God’s voice for only certain things so they have put filters on their conversation with the Lord. Others believe God will only make contact when He is darn good and ready. If we will look at His Word, we will find the facts and direction we need to make an informed decision
Proverbs 3:6 In ALL your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths
God is availing Himself to us for every need we have, that removes all the limits we impose on Him! We must acknowledge Him. This means to recognize Him, designate Him, consider Him, respect Him, and to regard Him. If you rightly discern the Word of God, you will come to understand that we must make the first move, not God. Too many Christians are stalled out in their faith because they are sitting around waiting on God. I’m going to say something here that is not very spiritual, but it my help you to understand.
“You must make a communications deal with God.”
Prepare a covenant that is between you and God. Then meet with Him and present it to Him. Your covenant would read something like this: Jesus I make you the Lord of my life, I’m asking you to direct all my paths. I give you permission to do whatever you need to, to keep me on track. I open my heart to hear your will in everything I do.
Don’t take God for granted. Don’t assume He will just speak to you for any reason. We must give God permission to speak into our lives. YOUR will be done. The next step is just as important. When He speaks be quick to obey what He gives you. Now you’re in His program, His system, His way of doing things. From time to time we all inadvertently try to accomplish God’s will with our own ideas. Some of our methods sound really good and they make a lot of sense, but does God agree with them? No man is obligated to obey God, every man is free to go his own way.
Matthew 7:24 Whosoever hears these sayings of mine and does them, he will be like a wise man which built his house as a rock.
We are free to build our house anywhere we choose; we can build it on sand if we want to. God speaks to us from His Word so we could hear Him every day if we wanted to. Whatever the Lord speaks to our heart we find recorded in His Holy Word because the Spirit and the Word always agree. When you read your Bible you will discover the manner and the Spirit by which God speaks to His people. He is a man of few words but one word from God can change your life forever. Once you get to know His heart one sentence will turn into a page and a page into a book. Set-up a program with your Lord. Invite Him to lead you however He chooses. He will see to it that you will understand Him.
Jesus Redeemed me from the curse, no poverty, no lack in my house.
Wealth and riches in my home, the devil is rebuked for my sake.
Father daily loads me with benefits, He takes pleasure in my increase.
I love being redeemed,
and I give my Lord all the glory.
We are about to embark on the greatest adventure and outpouring of God’s Spirit! This month the Holy Spirit is asking us to examine ourselves/take inventory so as God’s Vessels we can take our part and place in the Body of Christ!
Scriptures to meditate on:

2 Cor 10:6 It is written, and having a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
1 Peter 4:17 For judgement begins at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?
Psalm 139: 23, 24 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me of unbelief and lead me in the way everlasting.
2 Timothy 2:4 No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of (civilian) life: his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him (God)! DO ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD!
