When I look back on my life I have come to realize that growing up was fun. I always looked forward to my next birthday because I got presents and got to do things that my age qualified me to do. When I left my childhood behind I had to deal with things that required a more serious attitude. I had to deal with the military and all the things a new adult has to deal with. All my time as a student and a member of a large family prepared me for the responsibilities of life.
Growing up can take its toll on anyone who is not properly trained to accept all the challenges. I slipped into the world and away from my relationship with God. Just like everyone else, life was hard because I became its student.
Ephesians 4:11,14 God gave some Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers for the maturing of the Saints. That we be no more children, tossed to and fro by deceivers.
I became a born-again Christian, a child of God, a babe in Christ. Now I’m growing up all over again for the first time. I’m back to enjoying my childhood all over again and I’m having fun growing up in Him. I will continue to grow until I see Him face to face.
Jesus Redeemed me from the curse, no poverty, no lack in my house.
Wealth and riches in my home, the devil is rebuked for my sake.
Father daily loads me with benefits, He takes pleasure in my increase.
I love being redeemed,
and I give my Lord all the glory.
We are about to embark on the greatest adventure and outpouring of God’s Spirit! This month the Holy Spirit is asking us to examine ourselves/take inventory so as God’s Vessels we can take our part and place in the Body of Christ!
Scriptures to meditate on:
Hebrews 12:1 Therefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.
Psalm 26:4 Lord you can scrutinize me. Refine my heart and probe my every thought. Put me to the test and you will find it is true.
2 Cor 10:6 It is written, and having a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
1 Peter 4:17 For judgement begins at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?
Psalm 139: 23, 24 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me of unbelief and lead me in the way everlasting.
2 Timothy 2:4 No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of (civilian) life: his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him (God)! DO ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD!
