God or man

After I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost I liked to wear out my prayer language.  I just loved speaking in tongues but I wasn’t fully aware that I was praying in the Spirit.  I was working in a welding shop, so I prayed in tongues as I worked.  Once in a while I would pause to catch my breath and when I did I would suddenly know things about God’s Word.  I collected pens and pads from the truck drivers that delivered freight, so I began to write down what I heard.  My church family was amazed at how much revelation I was gaining, but there was also a healthy number of people who challenged the things I received from the Lord.

Acts 21:12 When we heard that Paul would be arrested in  Jerusalem, we besought him not to leave and go to that city.

The Lord told Paul to go to Jerusalem and that he would be put in chains when he arrived.  Paul’s friends tried to talk him out of obeying the Lord.  Paul had to rebuke his friends, he was determined to obey the Lord no matter what the authorities had in mind to do to him.  There will always be good people with good intentions try to talk you out of what the Lord tells you to do.  You need to hold fast to your instructions no matter what anyone tells you and that includes your own family.  Some times a spouse can be your greatest adversary because they don’t hear what you have heard.

John 10:3 The sheep hear His voice: and He calls His own sheep by name and He leads them out.

Every person who calls Jesus Lord has an obligation to God to learn His voice.  I never tried to learn or recognize His voice, I just started praying to Him and He responded.  We have a part and He has a part, end of discussion.  When Jesus came to His home town they questioned His Word and they said “from where has this man this wisdom?”  Jesus was constantly going aside to spend time with His Father, that’s where His wisdom came from.  The Father was feeding wisdom (revelation) to His first born Son just like He does to all of His sons.  There are no special requirements to hearing the voice of your Father, all fathers speak to their children.

Ephesians 5:24 As the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be   to their own husbands in everything.

We are the church, the body of Christ, we are subject to Jesus because the Father gave Him the revelation we need to be all He wants us to be.  Husbands have an anointing to hear from God on behalf of their families.  They must spend time with the Lord in prayer in order to be a blessing to their wife and kids.  If a man will not take his place and prefers his wife to be the spiritual head, the family is out of line with God’s Word.  God is not calling the husband to be a task master, He is calling him to follow Jesus and then his family will follow him.  A wise woman will appreciate the responsibility of her husband and she will pray for him.  Is she following God or man?  She is following a man that is following God, now they will be one happy family.

    PRAYER FOCUS
    TAKING INVENTORY

We are about to embark on the greatest adventure and outpouring of God’s Spirit! This month the Holy Spirit is asking us to examine ourselves/take           inventory so as God’s Vessels we can take our part and place in the Body of Christ!

    Scriptures to meditate on:

Hebrews 12:1 Therefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.

Psalm 26:4 Lord you can scrutinize me. Refine my heart and probe my every thought. Put me to the test and you will find it is true.

2 Cor 10:6 It is written, and having a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

1 Peter 4:17 For judgement begins at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?

Psalm 139: 23, 24 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me of unbelief and lead me in the way everlasting.

2 Timothy 2:4 No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of (civilian) life: his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him (God)! DO ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD!
