In the Garden of Eden God created a man that resembled Himself, a righteous man that would live into eternity. God gave this man dominion or authority because of the purity of his heart.  When Adam bowed his heart to the devil he became subject to the one he had authority over.  This reverse of dominion continued until the second Adam was born, He is the Son of God, He is Jesus.

Mathew 7:28-29 The Jewish leaders were amazed at His doctrine: for He spoke as one who had authority, and not as the Scribes.

I have read this Scripture over and over again and I always knew I was not connecting with its intent.  One day during a time of fellowship, out of the blue the Lord spoke to me concerning this verse.  I heard the Lord say this: Jesus spoke with authority because He could back up everything He said.  The Scribes, Pharisees, Sadducees and the priests spoke with authority but could not prove their claims.  That group of narrators are still with us today, only now we call them politicians.  They make lofty promises they have no way of ever fulfilling, they speak with authority but they cannot deliver.  A centurion soldier came to Jesus because he understood what true authority was.

Mathew 8:8 The centurion said, I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me, I say go and he goes, I say come and he comes, speak the Word and my servant will be healed.

Under the Levitical law the priests could minister healing, but the centurion had no confidence in their authority.  He went straight to Jesus because Jesus talked the talk and walked the walk, the priests just talked.  The Scribes, Pharisees, Sadducees and priests had no authority to serve men, but they wanted men to serve them on account of their titles.  They were full of pride because they were the chosen race and everyone else was a “dog”.

John 5:27 God gave Jesus authority to act on His Word because He became a mere human being.

God’s Word was sent to get men free of all bondages, but it had to be ministered with authority.  Jesus was authorized to offer the people something the leaders were not capable of giving the people.  Their focus was on themselves and the honor they demanded all men to give them.  They distorted God’s Word and thereby offered the people a God that was more vengeful than loving.  It was no wonder they hated Jesus, He blew their cover and offered all men the supernatural power of God.

Mathew 20:28 Jesus did not come to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give up His life a ransom for many.

The leaders hated Him because He didn’t fit their mold, how dare He wash the feet of commoners?  The Father gave Jesus authority to help people, the leaders used authority to help themselves.  Our authority is in the Name of Jesus, what would Jesus do if He was still here in the flesh?

    OFFERING DECLARATION
I know the grace of God,
it came from His love for me.

    Jesus was a wealthy man,
but the curse made Him poor so I could be increased with wealth.

    Jesus is my Passover,
I eat His body and drink His blood.

I have His life within me,
a life of peace and abundance.

    PRAYER FOCUS
    YEAR OF THE LOCAL CHURCH
    PRAYERS FOR OUR NATION

    BORDER CRISIS:
Protection for: People who are innocently being lured to America with false promises from our leadership. Lord, protect those people especially the children. Protect them and our nation from the flood of drugs, cartels, terrorists, traffickers and all the diseases that now have access to our cities and citizens. Post angels along our southern border. Expose the evil. Praying for our law officials and National Guard on the front lines.  Give them protection and wisdom.

    GOVERNMENT FEDERAL/STATE/LOCAL:
We pray in agreement with your Word: Luke 8:17 “Nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light”. Truth cannot be hidden. The truth sets us free.  Jesus is the Way, Truth and Light! Give the Righteous leaders boldness, wisdom and strength as they fight on the front lines. Give them every tool they need to  carry out your will Father. Every person who is in a place of authority that does not have a legal “God right” to be there will be transformed or removed.

ALL LEGAL MATTERS:  We pray for those legally gathering up and exposing the enemy’s lies. Protection for them and their families. All cover-ups and deeds done in darkness against the United States of America will have complete exposure.  God’s plans and purpose for America will prevail.
